anal fissures to cause colon cancer?
Does the presence of anal fissures mean it will cause cancer in the future?
I do not see how this would happen. Nothing from the anus must enter the colon, and the crack itself does not cause cancer (especially not from a different area). However, what is diagnosed as an anal fissure (eg, bleeding) may actually become colon cancer, but I think that doctors look around a bit first.
