things to eat food or to protect against colon cancer?

A member of my family just died of colon cancer - 3 years of battle! ;-( Iam so scared to get any type of cancer. Are there any health food / vitamins / foods that can help prevent colon cancer or any another kind of cancer!? Why not have a cure for cancer man?!?!

Lots of vegetables, fruits, organic if you can find … premium is better if you can. Eliminate processed foods .. that are loaded with chemicals, pesticides, preservatives, starches empty nutrition. Limit meat both as possible .. One 3-ounce per day is all the protein you need. Beans can replace meat as they contain high quality protein. Like a previous poster mentioned drinks plenty of water .. chlorine free, if possible, as it destroys the friendly flora in your intestines.
